Classic Games
Sometimes it is really hard to keep up in today's world of technology. For example, children and adults alike are hooked on all sorts of video and computer games. Video games can be expensive and the game systems themselves are sure to become obsolete before you know it. And don't forget the fact that video and computer games not only tend to isolate us but they can be downright addictive. Luckily there is another alternative, classic games that not only bring families and friends together but have stood the test of time. Board games such as Monopoly and Scrabble and games of chance like Yahtzee have been popular for years and are not only great for families to play but can be educational for school age children. Many of these classic games have been updated over the years and even include junior editions for younger children. However, the basic game never changes. Classic board games such as Chutes and Ladders and Candy Land are good choices for preschool kids and help teach colors and counting concepts. Sure there are plenty of educational programs on television geared toward preschoolers but nothing beats spending one on one time with children who don't realize that they are learning something while having loads of fun with mom or dad.
