Electronic toys have entered the early childhood market in a very big way. Parents are looking for ways to help children prepare for educational challenges at earlier ages. Many are turning to electronic and computer aided products to help them meet those challenges. Baby Toys A market has emerged to introduce electronic educational learning based toys to babies. Vtech, LeapFrog, and Fisher Price all have created lines of electronic baby toys to appeal to that market. Parents should evaluate products marketed as learning baby toys to determine what the product actually offers the child. Some products provide children with stimulation and attention. A toy that responds to a child's actions and seems to talk back to a child can provide. The research on how much a baby learns from the repetition of letters, second language exposure, and math concepts is not validated. However, with the appropriate electronic learning toys, it is clear that babies are encouraged in their efforts to explore their environments. Toddler Toys Vtech, Fisher Price, and Leap Frog continue in the electronic market with toddlers. Other companies join them as well. Many of these games also address fine motor skills. Many traditional toys have also added electronic concepts to attract toddlers to play. Fisher Price's little people have added electronic elements to some of their role playing sets. Leap Frog and Vtech introduce their basic learning systems for toddlers along with their other learning games.
