September is a Good Month for CheapStuff

Filed under: Company Headlines — admin @ 11:52 am

September is a good month for cheap stuff.  It’s the end of the summer and retailers are beginning to restock stores with winter items.  As stores prepare for the cold weather they need room for their new items.  This means that all of the summer items must be sold, guaranteeing low prices for you.

Guaranteed sale items will include swimwear, sandals, shorts and tanks.  All summer apparel is guaranteed to be found on sale racks.  Also on sale will be outdoor accessories and equipment, since the popular months for outdoor activities like fishing, camping and hiking are coming to an end.  Look for low prices on everything from tents and kayaks to hiking boots and fishing poles.

Here is a summary of some other products guaranteed to be on sale in September:

Big Appliances like Refrigerators

In order to stay current and keep up with demand, retailers have to keep showroom floors full of brand new models.  This is good news for consumers because retailers must cut prices on last year’s models in order to make room.   If you need a new fridge or want to update some of your large appliances this is the best time to buy.  Prices won’t be slashed like this again until April.

Appliances

Even though you can find select models on sale all year long, prices are especially low during the holiday season.  Big sales happen during holiday weekends like Labor Day.

Glassware

Retailers are aware that during the summer entertaining and having guests over is more popular.  There are tons of backyard BBQs and pool parties keeping the glassware in demand.  Now that summer is coming to an end glassware won’t be a necessary commodity and so retailers are ready to cut prices.   Use this to your advantage.  You might not be entertaining as much but glassware can be used year round and you can always save it for next summer.

Dinnerware

We all know how expensive dinnerware can be.  Retailers have to make room for holiday items so be on the lookout for big sales on all types of kitchen necessities from retailers.

September and the fall season in general is a great time to shop.  Take advantage of all these deals and more at CheapStuff.com.

The newest feature to the CheapStuff.com website helps users find great deals locally.  Now when you search for your desired item a list of search results from locations nearest you appear on the top right hand side of the page.

Entitled “Local Results”, this feature serves many purposes.  For one, it’s another way for CheapStuff.com to find you the greatest deal for what you are searching for.  Sometimes the greatest deals and cheapest prices come from retailers or sellers in your own backyard.

Second, by providing shoppers with search results closest to their location CheapStuff.com can save them money on shipping and handling.  In some cases shipping can be avoided all together by simply picking up the item in person.

Third, by using the new “Local Results” feature, website users can help stimulate their neighborhood economy.  What better way to give back to the community than keeping local retailers in business.    By purchasing items listed in the “Local Results” section you could be helping someone pay their rent or feed their children.  It’s important we spend money locally during these turbulent economic times.

So visit CheapStuff.com and use the “Local Results” feature.  It’s just another way CheapStuff.com would like to help our shoppers find the greatest deals.

Christmas in September

Filed under: Company Headlines — admin @ 1:11 pm

It’s bad enough that Halloween stores start popping up around mid August, but Christmas in September, really?

For years I have heard the complaints, “Why are Christmas decorations being sold already?” and “I can’t believe they are already playing Christmas music in stores.”  I remember Coffee Bean employees complaining because they had to hear the same Christmas CD over and over again throughout the holiday season.  Many consumers argue that retailers push Christmas on the public way too soon.  They are in for an unpleasant surprise because retailers plan to bring Christmas to stores even earlier than usual.

For the record, I am not one of those consumers who minds.  Christmas and all of its joy and cheer can never come early enough for me, but I do understand the frustration of some.

Retailers have a good excuse though.  Some stores have decided that in order to avoid last year’s disastrous sales, they need to get a head start by introducing the holiday shopping season early.   “The strategy is a good gamble for the struggling industry,” said Nick White who works with the Gerson Lehrman Group.   According to White, consumers are realizing they’ll have considerably less funds this year and are planning their Christmas budgets accordingly.   They understand that early planning is a good strategy.

Retailers usually refrain from pushing Holiday shopping until the beginning of November.  However, last year Holiday shopping declined, which hadn’t happened since the recession of the 1990s.  This year retailers are doing everything possible to avoid the same result.  Big names like Sears, K-mart and Toys R Us have already begun advertising Christmas discounts in hopes of getting customers spending.

Getting an early start on Christmas is not a terrible idea.  Anyone who has waited until the last minute to Christmas shop will tell you that it isn’t the best time to find a deal.  Big ticket items or Holiday-must-haves always sell out quick and the consumer is faced with a predicament.  Either face a disappointed loved one or try to EBay their way by bidding the highest price.  These are not good game plans.

By starting early, consumers will give themselves time to make financially sound decisions.  They will have the time to do their research and find the best bargains, saving the shopper a bundle.  As the consumer you can get it all done in one place by visiting CheapStuff.com.   We can help you find exactly the right gift for exactly the right price.

You can get more for less by planning early and thinking ahead.  How great would it feel to have all your Holiday shopping done before the deals run out and without having to deal with mall parking?  When you look at it that way, the Holidays can’t come soon enough.

CheapStuff.com – New Feature: Cheap Stuff of the day!

Filed under: Company Headlines — admin @ 11:14 am

We have created a new feature for our home page to make shopping even easier for you.  On the home page there is a new section entitled, “Cheap Stuff of the Day.”  It lists the top 8 cheap deals of that particular day.  The items change every day as new deals and hot items come on sale.   The list is composed by technicians who have pulled from all shopping websites across the web.  Only the cheapest items and best deals are displayed for you.

What makes this new feature so amazing is that it isn’t limited to one type of item or one retailer.  We pull from all consumer websites and the items range from clothing to electronics.  You might have visited our website for a different item, but these prices are so low that you won’t be able to turn them down.

Today’s hot deals include: A Nintendo Wii nunchuk with analog thumbstick and rubber comfort grip normally $49.99 but we have found it on sale for $4.99.  Hanes Stay Clean cotton blend polo shirts for kids are normally $9.99 each but we found them for $2.49.  Another hot deal includes a free two night stay at the Silverton in Las Vegas.

So visit our home page and try out our newest feature, “Cheap Stuff of the Day.”  You are sure to find a great deal on an item you never even knew you needed.
