*January is also a good time to save on computers because retailers begin to clear out inventory to make room for newer models.

December and January are slow months for the wedding industry.  If you plan to get married during these months make sure to take advantage and haggle when it comes to expenses like floral arrangements, catering and even the venue.

January

1. Linens

For some reason, January is the month for “White Sales” where retailers start marking down prices on items like sheets, blankets, towels and more.  You will find yourself saving anywhere from 10 to 60% on your purchases.

2. Gift Wrap

After the holidays are over, gift wrap is no longer a valuable commodity.  Take advantage of the extreme mark downs and stock up on gift wrap for next year.  If you buy gift wrap in solid colors, you can even use them during the year.  Find savings of up to 75$ at certain retailers.
