HDMI cables also carry the sound signal between these devices. A quality HDMI cable can last for years. If you want true hd, you will need an HDMI cable. Cables and connectors really do make the world go around. The technology world would be stalled out without the advancing technology that allows all the gadgets and gizmos that creep into our lives to communicate with each other. Great cables and connectors are available any pretty much any retail store. Remember the cable a device requires to connect may not be included with the device itself.
