Overview: cameras

Cameras have been around for a long time; many remember the old Nikon cameras from many decades ago that produced only black and white film. Today we have new and improved Nikon cameras that develop color and black and white if you choose. Cameras like the older Nikon have the roll of film that you must take in to develop, or develop yourself, but you cannot look at your pictures until they are developed. A camera that is digital is unlike the disposable cameras and the old model Nikon camera we all used to purchase to take simple pictures when we have events such as parties, camps, and many other outings. Digital cameras give you the capability of taking pictures that are saved on a memory card, giving you the luxury of looking through them on your camera as you go. So if you take a picture and decide that it didnt come out good once you look at it, you can delete it, and simply retake the picture again and again until it is to your liking. When you want to develop your pictures from a digital camera you just take your camera to a local store that has a photo shop, take out your memory card, put it in the slot on the photo machine, choose which pictures you want to develop (you may not want to develop them all at once), and the machine prints out your receipt and sends the order through to the store. Your pictures from your digital camera will be ready in a few business days from that point, unless you decide you want them done in the 1 hour photo, which costs a little bit more. Digital cameras are the way of the future; however, some prefer the classic camera with the roll of film, and some prefer the digital cameras of today.

Today, the Nikon camera also makes digital cameras such as the Nikon camera called the CoolpixS9 that has 6.1 megapixels and is an easy to use digital camera. Another camera that is well known is the canon digital camera called the SLR camera. This camera looks like the old style cameras but it is still a digital camera so you can store your pictures in a digital format. The SLR camera is a popular digital camera for individuals like love the old style models but still want to have a camera that is digital. The SLR camera has a single lens reflex (SLR) and it allows the camera to have a significantly wide range of lens focal lengths. Another Canon digital camera that is a small, new-modeled camera is the PowerShot SD1200 IS Digital ELPH camera that has 10.0 megapixels with a 3X optical zooms. This Canon digital camera is new and stylish and is easy to use. Having a camera that is digital can be very useful because you can store your pictures for later viewing, delete certain pictures if you are not satisfied with them, and choose which ones you want to develop at one time. Once you develop the pictures you want you can delete them off of your memory card and have room for more. Digital cameras of course cost a lot more than a disposable camera but definitely save you money in the long run because you just re-use your memory card over and over.
